Research work

Our long term reseach goal with focus on the cross talk of phytohormones and secondary metabolites and their biological functions. The researches will include the biosynthesis and metabolical engineering of glucosinolates and its application in crop improvement of Brassica crops, Analysis and utilization of bioactive substance, design of functional food, and breeding of functional variety in vegetable crops, the cross talk of phytohormones and glucosinolates and its role in the resistance of plant to the biotic and chemical stresses, the cross talk of phytohormones and their roles in regulating the biosynthesis of carotenoids and the resistance to Alternaria alternata f. sp. Lycopersici infection and AAL-Toxin in tomato. Safety control and biosynthesis of mycotoxin fumonisin and AAL-Toxin.
