Baofeng Huo is Qiushi Chair Professor of Operations Management at School of Management, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He received the Ph.D. degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research and teaching interests are logistics and supply chain management. His work was accepted or published in the Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, International Journal of Production Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Information & Management, Business Horizons, and other journals. He is Associate Editor of Journal of Operations Management, and Editorial Board member of Production and Operations Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, and IMDS.

 

 

Short bio

Dr. Baofeng Huo is Zhejiang University Qiushi Chair Professor, Professor of Operations Management at the School of Management, Zhejiang University, Co-Director of Institute of Supply Chain Management, Director of Institute of Supply Chain Quality Management, “Distinguished Young Scholar” of NNSFC, New Century Excellent Talent of MOE of China, “Distinguished Young Scholar of Natural Sciences” and “Zhijiang Young Scholar of Social Sciences” of Zhejiang Province, Associate Editor of Journal of Operations Management. He received his Ph.D. in operations management from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, his M.E. in Management Sciences and Engineering and B.E. in Management Information Systems from Tianjin University. Before joining Zhejiang University, he worked at Xi’an Jiaotong University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

 

Dr. Huo’s teaching interests are operations management, logistics and supply chain management, empirical research methods, and structural equation modeling, etc. His research interests are logistics and supply chain management, relationship management, cross-cultural operations management, etc. His research has won several best paper awards, including Jack Meredith Best Paper Award (Journal of Operations Management, 2015), Outstanding Paper Award (ICOSCM, 2015), Top-25 Most-accessed Dissertation (ProQuest, 2014), Best Supply Chain Integration and Relationship Management Paper Award (ICOSCM, 2012), The China’s 100 Most Influential International Papers (Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, 2011), Li & Fung Best Paper Award (ICOSCM, 2011), Best Application Research Paper Award (Decision Sciences Institute, 2010), Best Operations/Manufacturing Strategy and Practices Paper Award (ICOSCM, 2009), Distinguished Supply Chain Management Paper Award (Decision Sciences Institute, 2008) and Chan Hahn Award (Academy of Management, 2007).

 

His research has been published or accepted in refereed journals including the Journal of Operations Management (All 3 papers are Top 25 mostly cited JOM papers, and cited by Highly Cited Papers of Essential Science Indicators (ESI)), Production and Operations Management, International Journal of Production Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Information & Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management & Data Systems, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, Business Horizons, and other journals. He was 2014-2016 Most Cited Chinese Researchers in Business, Management and Accounting of Elsevier.
