1. Investigation of the cellular DNA damage response to environmental EMF exposure.
2. Investigation of the role of the tumor suppressor Tip60 in gastric cancer metastasis.

1. Identification of the tumor suppressor ING3 degradation pathway. ING3 is degradated by SCFSkp2-mediated ubiquitin-proteasome system and interruption of ING3 degradationg enhances the tumor-suppressive function of ING3 (Oncogene 29: 1498). 
2. Elucidating the role of Cul1 (scaffold protein in SCF complex) in melanoma initiation and development. Cul1 expression is increased in early stages of human melanoma, and Cul1 regulates melanoma cell growth and cell cycle progression through degradation of p27 by functional SCFSkp2 complex (Pigment Cell Melanoma Res 23: 572, Int J Oncol 37: 1339). 
3. Evaluating the prognositic values of the tumor biomarkers (Skp2, p27 and Tip60) in human melanomas. 1)Skp2 is over-expressed in cytoplasm of human melanoma and the increased cytoplasmic Skp2 expression is associated with poor primary melanoma patient survival (Plos One 6: e17578); 2) Nuclear p27 expression is reduced in malignant melanomas, which is correlated with the increased p27 level in cytoplasm. Both loss of nuclear p27 expression and gain of cytoplasmic p27 expression are correlated with a worse survival of melanoma patients (Cancer Epidemiol Biomarkers Prev Under review); 3) Tip60 expression is reduced in metastatic melanoma and reduced Tip60 expression is an independent prognostic marker for metastatic melanomas (JID 2012).

1. Investigation of mobile phone radiation induced bio-effects. By transcriptomic (Genechip assay and quantitative real-time RT-PCR) and proteomic (two dimension gel electrophoresis and mass spectrum) approaches, GSM 1800 MHz Radiofrequency EMF exposure can not change gene and protein expression in MCF-7 cells (Proteomics 6: 4732) 
2. Investigation of electromagnetic fields (EMF) induced global gene expression in Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. The effect of EMF on gene expression in depends on the frequency of EMF (Bioelectromagnetics 2012).
