Dr. Daxi Ren is an associate professor of food scienceat Zhejiang University. He earned his Doctoral degree in Northeast Agriculture University in June. 2009. He was promoted to associate professor in 2014. Before that he spent one year to do collaborative research with Dr. Diane Van Hekken and Peggy  Tomasula in USDA-ARS-ERRC in USA. Awarded the Distinguished Young Scholar by Zhejiang University in 2014. His recent research interests include Chinese style milk product research and development, dairy functional components transformation by animal model. The main work is application of honey, green tea in milk product; development of buffalo milk and functional components from milk.
