Research Interests:

Reciprocal interactions between the metabolic system and immune cells play pivotal roles in the pathogenesis of diverse inflammatory diseases, but the underlying mechanisms are still unclear. The major focus of the group is to provide a molecular understanding of immunity and inflammation. We are interested in receptors involved in innate immunity, such as Nod-like receptors (NLRs – including Nlrp3), and also metabolic signals activated. The role played by this system in inflammatory diseases is also under investigation. Meanwhile, we are also interested in the activation and differentiation of T cells by diverse metabolic mediators and metabolites.
