Research Experience:

  • -2002:M.S. and Ph. D., focused on sporulation of Bacillus subtilis and its regulation. 
  • 2002-2004:Postdoctoral Research Associate, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, TN, USA. Participated in 3 projects sponsored by Department of Energy (DOE) through Genome to Life (GTL) program and Shewanella Federation. Focused on genomics and regulatory networks of Shewanella oneidensis.
  • 2005-2007:Research Assistant Professor, Microbial Ecology Center, Michigan State University. Led and participated in 4 projects sponsored by Department of Energy (DOE) through Genome to Life (GTL) program and Shewanella Federation and one project sponsored by NSF. Focused on genomics and regulatory networks of Shewanella oneidensis.
