Ming Li is a adjoint professor with Zhejiang University. His areas relate to applied statistics, applied mathematics, ship structural mechanics, statistical mechanics, fractal time series, computer science, testing techniques, measurement, and control. He has published over 200 papers in international journals and international conferences, and 3 monographs in those areas. Among them, two were recognized as Top 100 Most Cited Chinese Papers Published in International Journals in 2010, and 2012, respectively. He was identified as the Most Cited Chinese Researcher, listed in the most world influential researchers in China, by Elsevier Publishing Co. in 2014 (1st Ed., Annual List), 2015 (2nd Ed., Annual List), 2016 (3rd Ed., Annual List), and 2017 (4th Ed., Annual List), respectively. Li's H-index is greater than 19. 

Research work

Structural mechanics, mainly in fatigue, vibration: testing theory in ship science. Applied statistics with the recent interests in fractal time series and its applications to ocean waves,sea surface wind speed, sea level, network traffic. Computer science. Signals and systems.
