Dr. Anjun Qin, received his Ph. D. degree in Physical Chemistry and Materials Science from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004. From 2005 to 2007, he worked as a postdoctoral associate in Professor Ben Zhong Tang’s group at The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. From the beginning of 2007, he started his postdoctoral work in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University. He was promoted to Associate Professor of Zhejiang University in 12/2008.
He has been working on the construction of functional linear and hyperbranched polymers from triple-bond building blocks, especially on the exploration of efficient catalyst systems and new polymerization reactions. He is also interested in design and synthesis of polymers with aggregation-induced emission properties and exploration their application in bioassay and chemosensors.
He is managing 4 projects: two from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and another two from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He joined in a “973” project from the Ministry of Science & Technology of China. He has published more than 100 papers and 60 of which are published in high impact factor journals (IF>3) including Chem. Soc. Rev., Prog. Polym. Sci., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Funct. Mater., Chem. Sci., MacromoleculesChem. Commun., J. Mater. Chem. etc. He has been issued two Chinese Patents and two US patents.
