Research work

My research interests and experience are mostly in the field of Biomedical Engineering (BME) with the numerical calculation of electromagnetic field, which include three main projects: (1) Forward and inverse problem of electro-magnetocardiogram (E/MCG), (2) Optimization design of coils in MRI, (3) Image reconstruction of Magnetic Induction Tomography (MIT). 1.In the EMCG field (2004.9-present): I have done a lot of work to develop novel numerical algorithms to calculate the macroscopic forward and inverse problem of EMCG, and also been involved the cardiac cell modeling, cardiac electrophysiological and mechanical modeling, body surface potential (BSP) system development, image visualization based on VTK and mesh construction. 2.In the MRI field (2007.11-present): I have learned a lot about the coils design in MRI system and have used the boundary element based method to theoretically design the RF and gradient coils in MRI. 3.In the MIT field: I have done a lot of simulation study for the MIT system, the optimization of the coils for MIT system and also numerical algorithms for the image reconstruction of MIT, working close to the hardware colleagues as a researcher in Philips Research Asia-Shanghai My research interests are mainly in bioelectromagnetism field, including the MRI development, the modeling of heart and brain, the forward and inverse problems of bioelectromagnetism problem, and magnetic induction tomography, use the mathematical and computational engineering approaches to interpret the bioelectromagnetic phenomena under normal and diseased conditions, and develop novel methods and device for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
