Chaofeng SHEN is an associate professor in Department of Environmental Engineering (EE) at Zhejiang University.He got his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering with joint training in Zhejiang University and Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences,Chinese Academy of Sciences.His B.S. degree was received from Zhejiang University.He was awarded Distinguished Young Scholar honor from Zhejiang University in 2014.He ever visited Stanford University,University of Florida in USA,Technologiezentrum Wasser (TZW,Water Technology Centre) in Germany,Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as visiting scholar.The research of Chaofeng team (Xenobiotic Group,X Group) mainly lies in studying microbial remediation of pollution soil especially on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs).Their research has been widely supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China,the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China,Science and Technology Foundation of Zhejiang Province,China etc.They have published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal papers on Environmental Science and Technology,Environment International,Environmental Pollution,Soil Biology and Biochemistry and so on.They also have 4 national invention patents of China.In addition to a long-standing interest in research, Chaofeng also has a strong interest in teaching.He currently is teaching a course at the EE Department on “Environmental Science”.He is also developing other courses in soil pollution bioremediation.
