Dr. Zheng received his B.S. in Agronomy from the Zhejiang University in 1986 and his Ph.D. in Plant Nutrition from the Nanjing Agricultural University in 1991 under the direction of Dr. Ruihe Shi and Aitang Hu. After got his Ph.D, he worked 4 years as lecturer and 1 year as associate professor at Nanjing Agricultural University. From June, 1996, he did research in Prof Matsumoto’ lab as a postdoctoral fellow supported by JSPS for one and half years. Then in July 1998, he moved to Dr. Masaoka’ lab as a postdoctoral fellow supported by STA for two years. After finished his postdoctoral fellowship, he joined the Zhejiang University in 2000 as a full professor in plant nutrition in College of Environmental and Recource Sciences. In 2006, he moved to the College of Life Sciences, and in the same year, he won the title of Distinguished Young Scholar from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In 2009, he was rewarded as Changjiang Scholar Professor by the Ministry of Educatio. In 2007, he became the Director of Institute of Plant Sciences, and in 2009, he was elected to be the Associate Dean of the College of Life Sciences. Currently, Dr. Zheng has been the thesis advisor for Ph.D. students in plant nutrition and plant biology.
Plant Stress Physiology
