Dr. Yun Wu is an associate professor in the College of Media and International Culture at Zhejiang University. He earned his Ph.D. in Management Science from the School of Information Management at Wuhan University in 2007. He has published more than sixty journal articles and five books, which are represented by the book Game of Culture and Economy: Research on Economic Characteristics and Principles of Publishing Communication, and the paper “Publishing research in China: History, characteristics, and challenges” and “Three questions on the reform of China’s press and publishing system”. He has undertaken eight research projects as the director since 2007, such as the research project of the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC) “Reading Evolution and the National Reading Literacy Improving Strategies under the New Media Environment”. He has also participated in some other national and provincial research projects. Yun Wu was sponsored by the Funding Program for Further Studies Overseas for Outstanding Young Teachers of Zhejiang University (known as New Star Program), and selected as “Zhijiang Young Talents” in Zhejiang Province. He won some academic awards including the Outstanding Achievements Award of Humanities and Social Science of Chinese Universities (issued by the Ministry of Education of China in 2013), the Outstanding Achievements Award of Social Science of Zhejiang Province (issued by Zhejiang Provincial Government of China in 2012), and the China Publishing Award - Outstanding Publishing Research Award (issued by the Publishers Association of China in 2008).
