A.Ping Zhang received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Zhejiang University, China, in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2003. Since 2005, he is the Associate Professor of Optical Engineering at Zhejiang University. He was a research scholar of Sate University of New York at Buffalo from May 2006 to June 2008, and University of California, San Diego from July 2011 to Jan. 2012, respectively. He has published more than 70 research articles in well-known journals and conferences. His current research interests include laser nanofabrication technologies, optical fiber sensors and communication devices.
