Academic Background
At present Ming-Wei Chang is an Associate Professor at the College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science, Zhejiang University (ZJU), China. He was appointed at ZJU in 2013, following his position as an Associate Researcher in the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (The University of Oxford). His appointment at ZJU was primarily to lead initiatives surrounding biomaterials and tissue engineering. He obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University College London (2011) and has served as an R&D manager and principal investigator for five years at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI, Taiwan). He has published over 40 scientific articles and has been granted 32 international patents in the development of flexible/rigid healthcare devices for biomedical applications, which have been directly transferred into several industrial sectors. He serves as a member of the FIT academic committee (Zhejiang University) and also as a member of the Oversea’s High-level Talents of Zhejiang Province, China. Currently, he is working on smart new materials and methodologies to engineer new micro/nanostructures for biomedical applications and healthcare technologies.
从事生物材料与组织工程、多功能药物载体、超声波技术研究、微机电系统与新植物药研究等工作。目前获证国际发明专利超过32件,涵盖7个国家,3项产业技术授权,1项技术移转,数十篇研究发表。担任Langmuir; Soft Matter; Acta Biomaterialia; The Journal of Physical Chemistry C; Biomedical  Materials  (BMM); Bubble  Science,  Engineering  and  Technology;  Colloids  and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces等期刊审稿人。
