Dr. Zhuoren Jiang is now a tenure-track assistant professor at Department of Information Resources Management, School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University. 

He is a Professional Member of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), and a member of ACM SIGIR (Special Interest Group on Information Retrieval), ACL (Association for Computational Linguistics), and ASIS&T (Association for Information Science and Technology).

Dr. Jiang is also a collaborating expert at Tongyi Lab and formerly served as a consultant (visiting professor) of Alibaba DAMO Academy.

His research interests include information science & library science, computational social science, policy simulation, artificial intelligence algorithms and applications.

• He has published over 70 high-quality academic papers in leading international and domestic journals and conferences. These include prestigious journals such as Information Processing & Management, Journal of Informetrics, Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, Expert Systems with Applications, Knowledge-Based Systems, PNAS Nexus, and Journal of the China Society for Scientific and Technical Information, among others. These journals are recognized as top-tier (CAS Zone 1 / JCR Q1 / Category A). His work has also been featured in top-tier conferences: including SIGIR, WWW, ACL, AAAI, EMNLP, ICCV, COLING, CIKM, and WSDM.

• He has been awarded for the Boya Postdoctoral Fellowship of Peking University and the Alibaba Research Fellowship.

• He served as the principal investigator or sub-project lead for multiple research projects, including the National Key R&D Program, Major Projects of the National Social Science Foundation of China, Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as Project of the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation and General Project of the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation.

• Authored the textbook "Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence for the Social Sciences" (Zhejiang University Press).

• Awards and honors include: Champion, CAIL2024 (China AI and Law Challenge); Best Short Paper Awards Nominee, 47th International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval, 2024; Best Poster Award, ACM/IEEE-CS Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL), 2013; Champion, SDK Data Solutions Challenge hosted by the U.S. Census Bureau; Champion (Wikipedia Task) and Runner-up (ArXiv Task), NTCIR-12 Math Information Retrieval Competition organized by Japan’s National Institute of Informatics; Runner-up, Open Academic Profiling Challenge jointly organized by Microsoft, Tsinghua University, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
