I received my doctoral degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2008. Currently I am an Associate Professor in the College of Education at Zhejiang University. My research is primarily concentrated in the area of Exercise and Health Psychology. Specifically, I am interested in understanding the mechanism of exercise’s effect on both physical health and psychological well-being. Applying theories of health behaviors from the perspectives of social and health psychology, my research efforts are focused on understanding how social, psychological and cognitive factors affect exercise behavior, as well as how to promote exercise in an effort to enhance fitness and wellness among various populations.
