Biography

Dr. Shanshan Lin is an Associate Professor, PhD supervisior, at the School of Management, Zhejiang University. Her major research interests are smart tourism, digital life service in tourism,·tourism economics (with a special focus on tourism demand modelling and forecasting) and Chinese tourists behavior. Her research has been published in top tourism and forecasting journals such as Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management and Journal of Travel Research and International Journal of Forecasting. She is currently the Associate Editor of Annals of Tourism Research and editorial board members of Tourism Management , Journal of Travel ResearchAsia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research, Journal of Destination Marketing & Management, and Tourism Review. She is the principal investigator for several international, national and regional research projects with the focus of research objectives on tourism demand modeling and forecasting. She has been involved in a number of research/consultation projects related to tourism forecasting and tourist satisfaction index, including Hangzhou Asian Games, Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Tourism Commission, Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Ocean Park (Hong Kong), Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland.
