Dr. Yusheng LIU is a professor of the State Key Lab of CAD&CG and the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University which is located in Hangzhou, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering of Zhejiang University in 2000, and was a visiting professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management (MEEM) of City University of Hongkong and the Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) Center of Georgia Institute of Technology (GaTech) respectively in 2003 and 2009.

He has been conducting research on CAX since 1992. His previous research topics involve computer-aided tolerancing, collaborative design and the integration of CAD and CAE. Since 2009, his research focus is MBSE. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers on these topics, two of which are the best paper of ASME IDETC/CIE 2010 and the excellent paper of CSME 2013 respectively. He has been leading his group to develop the intelligent MBSE platform in recent year. Meanwhile he has good cooperation with industries. He has undertaken a series of projects supported by NSFC, MOST and industrial companies. His current research interests include MBSE, medial axis/surface, 3D knowledge reuse, CAX integration and so on.

        He is the international conference chair of the 5th ADCP (2015) and the committee member of a number of international conferences including ACDDE, CAD&CG, Virtual Reality, ICEBE, etc.
