Zhisheng Fu was born in Changting, Fujian Province in May 1975. He is an associate professor of Department of Polymer Science and Engineering of Zhejiang University. He is an editor of Elastomer. He was admitted to Zhejiang University in 2003 after receiving his doctorate of Science in Polymer Chemistry and Physics. As a visiting scholar, he studied polyolefin catalysts in the Department of Chemistry, University of Chicago from February 2008 to January 2010. His main research fields are high performance, functionalization and industrialization of polyolefin elastomers. New materials such as polyethylene rubber, multiblock branched polyethylene and so on have been invented by him. He has been devoted to the popularization and industrialization of new materials. He has undertaken the National key R & D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, the 863 Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, the Zhejiang Provincial Public Welfare Project, and has presided over or participated in the National key basic Research Program (973), the doctoral Program Foundation of the Ministry of Education, Sinopec Pipeline Bureau, Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical Company, PetroChina Pipeline Bureau, PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical, American Westlake Chemical Company, Thailand SCG Chemical Group Corporation commissioned many research projects. He has published more than 100 papers in Macromolecules, Organometallics, Dalton Trans., J. Phys. Chem. C, J. Mol. Catal. A: Chem., Fuel, Polymer, J. Polym. Sci. Part A: Chem. and more than 20 patents have been granted.
