Rui Xiao is an associate professor with tenure of Engineering Mechanics at Zhejiang University. He received the B.S from University of Science and Technology of China in 2009 and the Ph.D from Johns Hopkins University in 2015. Before joining Zhejiang University, he is an associate professor at Hohai University where he worked from 2015 to 2019. His main research interest is the constitutive relationship of polymers, smart materials and structures, and the mechanics of soft materials. As the first or corresponding author, he has published more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
