Dr. Hong Ma is the Principal Investigator of Hundred Talents Program, doctoral supervisor, and cardiologist at Zhejiang University. He was awarded as Distinguished Young Scholar of Zhejiang Province, High-Level Talent of Zhejiang Provincial 551 project, Young Committee Member of Zhejiang Society of Cardiology, and Young Clinical Talent of School of Medicine at Zhejiang University. Dr. Ma accepted his Doctoral degree from Fudan University (Zhongshan Hospital) and Bachelor/Master's degree from Zhejiang University in the field of Clinical Medicine. He got his postdoctoral training in Dr. Jiandong Liu/Dr. Li Qian group and worked as Research Association at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to study the molecular basis of cardiac metabolism and heart regeneration. Dr. Ma's major research interest is clinical and scientific research of heart failure, especially in biomechanics and its roles in RNA biogenesis and metabolic reprogramming under the support from National Natural Science Foundation of China and American Heart Association. His representative papers have been published on Circulation, Advanced Functional Materials（Cover Story）, Cardiovascular Research（Editor's Choice）, Hypertension（High Impact Paper）, Molecular Metabolism, EMBO Reports, JMCC etc. as first/corresponding author. He also participated in papers published in Nature, Cell Stem Cell, Science Translational Medicine, JCI, ATVB, etc. He won First Prize of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province (3rd), Cardiovascular Research Award of Young Doctors in Zhejiang Province, Award of International Society for Heart Research (ISHR), Award of Translational Omics Research at Purdue University/NIH B2K program.
