Dr. Luo Ting is a “Hundred Talents Program” Research Fellow at the College of Media and International Culture, Zhejiang University. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Asian Studies from The University of Auckland, New Zealand in 2014. Prior to joining Zhejiang University, she taught at the Department of Theatre and Film Studies, Nanjing University. Her research interests include Chinese cinemas, Asian cinema and Visual Culture Studies. She is the principal researcher of several research grants such as Chinese Cinematic Landscape and the National Imagination funded by National Social Science Foundation, Beyond Realism: Changing Modes of Representation in Chinese Sixth Generation’s filmmaking since 1989 funded by The Faculty of Arts Doctoral Research Fund, The University of Auckland, and Deconstructing the Real in Contemporary Chinese Film funded by PBRF Dividend Fund, The University of Auckland. She has published several papers in A&HCI-indexed and CSSCI-indexed journals in the field of Chinese cinemas.
