Yinglin Ke was born in February 1963. He obtained the doctor of engineering in Nanjing University of Aero & Astro in 1992. He entered the Computer Science in Zhejiang University for post-doc research and became a faculty after graduation in 1994. He was promoted to associate professor in 1994, accelerated promoted to professor in 1997 and tutor of Ph.D. From November in 2004 to February in 2005 he undertook research in Delaware State University of America as senior visiting scholar. Now he serves as the vice president of Academe of science and techniques of defense and Seminar of fabrication technique and machine tools around Chinese colleges.
His research direction is advanced manufacturing process and equipment technology, which covers digital assembly technique and system of aircraft, new machining technique for intractable materials, composite structure manufacturing. He was the principal investigator of over 30 projects of NSF, National 863 Program, national defense projects and provincial key technology projects, of which 17 projects were funded more than 10M Yuan. He won a second class National Technological Invention Award of China , a first class Award of Technology Progress of China Machinery Industry Federation, a first class Invention Award of Ministry, two second class Award of Defense Technology Progress. He owed 70 authorized invention patents. He has published more than 200 papers in prestigious academic journals such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD),IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control,Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering-Transactions of the ASME,Journal of Materials Processing Technology, Chinese Journal of Mechanical, Chinese Journal of Aeronautics, etc. He has supervised 25 masters, 65 doctors and 7 post doctors.
