He Huang, M.D., Ph.D., is the Distinguished Professor and Associate Dean of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Hangzhou, China; Director of Hematology Institute of Zhejiang University; Director of Bone Marrow Transplantation Center of The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine.
Dr. Huang is also actively involved in and holds key positions in a number of professional organizations and scientific committees, including being Vice Chairman of Transplantation committee of Chinese Hematological Association; Vice Chairman of Experts Committee of Chinese Marrow Donor Program; Member of Executive Committee, Asia-Pacific Bone Marrow Transplantation Group (APBMT); Member of American Socienty of Hematology (ASH); Member of European Society of Hematology (EBMT). He is the editorial board member of Biology of Blood and Marrow Transplantation, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Journal of Hematology and Oncology, et al.
Dr. Huang specializes in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and hematology in clinic. He also focus on hematological molecular biology, cellular immunotherapy and stem cell biology research. He has been in charge of more than 28 research programs including National major scientific research program (973 program), National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 program) and the key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China. As corresponding author, he has published about 300 original papers in peer-reviewed, SCI-cited journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine、Nature、 Cell Metab、Lancet Haematol、Blood、Leukemia et al. He has been awarded 24 national invention patents. During the past 5 years, the research results of his group have been presented as invited and oral presentations for more than 60 times at the international Conferences. He also organized APBMT annual meetings in 2005 and 2014 in Hangzhou, China as the chairman of the conferences. For his outstanding achievement on hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, Dr. Huang was awarded the national prizes by State Council twice in 2003 and 2015, respectively.
