Dr Zheren Zhang was born in Zhejiang, China, in October 1988. He received the B.S. degree and Ph.D. degree both in electrical engineeringfromZhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2011 and 2016, respectively. From 2016-2017, he was with the Economic Research Institute of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Company. From 2018, he has been a post-doctor research in Zhejiang University.

His main field of interest includes HVDC, flexible ac transmission systems and renewable power integration.
