    • Cataract and its molecular mechanisms

Yu Yibo, MD, associate chief physician, master supervisor. I have been engaged in ophthalmology clinical, teaching and scientific research for many years, and has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of various common, frequently occurring and difficult various diseases in ophthalmology, especially in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of cataracts, the surgical treatment of glaucoma and ultra-high myopia, posterior capsular opacification and the laser treatment of glaucoma. 

I have unique insights in the clinical prevention and treatment of cataracts and basic research. I once went to the Jules Stein Ophthalmology Institute of the UCLA as a visiting scholar and engaged in postdoctoral research in Cataract Department of University of Nebraska. 

At present, I am a member of American Society for Optometry (ARVO), Chinese Ophthalmic society, the Epidemiology and Prevention of Blindness of Ophthalmology Branch of Chinese Medical Association, the Young committee of the Prevention and Treatment of Visual Impairment group of Ophthalmology Branch of Chinese Medical Association, the Young committee of Zhejiang Ophthalmology Medical Association,  Laser Medical Branch of Zhejiang Medical Association. In addition, I am special editor of Chinese edition of British Journal of Ophthalmology, 

I have hosted a number of projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Zhejiang Qianjiang talent program and so on. I have published more than 10 papers in important academic journals, including top journals such as free radical biology and medicine and cell research. The project I have participated in has won the National and Provincial Science and Technology Achievement Awards.
