Jiandong Feng is a Qiushi Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University. He received his B.S. in chemistry from Zhejiang University and his Ph.D. in physics from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland in 2016. Dr. Feng established the Laboratory of Experimental Physical Biology at Zhejiang University in 2018. He is promoted to a Full Professor and a Qiushi Distinguished Professor in 2024. Prof. Feng is a doctoral supervisor of chemistry and of optics. 

Prof. Feng is interested in developing and applying high-precision single-molecule tools to probe new physics in chemistry and biology at unexplored scales. He is a recipient of the Xplorer Prize from the New Cornerstone Science Foundation, the Young Analytical Chemist Award in China, the 2021 Youth Award from the Chinese Chemical Societry, the 2017 EPFL Doctorate Award, and the 2016 EPFL Future Leaders in Bioengineering Award.
