The PI:
Dr. Hailong Fu is a tenure-track researcher in the School of Physics of Zhejiang University. He obtained his B.S. degree from Shandong University in 2012 and his Ph.D. degree from Peking University in 2017. From 2017 to 2022, he worked at Penn State University as an Eberly Research Fellow.
He has focused on the frontier research of two-dimensional van der Waals materials and ultra-low temperature electrical transport. He has achieved many important experimental results in different research fields, including superconductor-metal phase transition, quantum Hall effect, spintronics, etc. 20 papers have been published in high-quality journals, including first (co-first) author papers in Science, PRX, PNAS, and Nature Communications.
Research interests:
Emergent phenomena (topology, magnetism, superconductivity, correlation, etc) in two-dimensional van der Waals materials and heterostructures.
Experimental techniques:
Two-dimensional van der Waals material stacking.
Device nanofabrication.
Ultra-low temperature, ultra-low noise, and high magnetic field electrical transport.
