Currently serve as Senior Research Fellow in Institute of Space Information and Techniques at the School of Earth Sciences, Zhejiang University, I have joined Zhejiang University since 1993 at various positions ranging from Lecturer, assistant professor and research fellow. My research interests focus on Remote Sensing and Digital Image Processing, Geo-Science Analysis of Remote Sensing, 3S Integration techniques, and Industrial Application/Industrialization of Remote Sensing Techniques.

My recent projects include Remote Sensing Geological Prospecting, Remote Sensing Techniques applied in Water and Soil Conservation, the Application of Remote Sensing in Agriculture, etc.  I have published a national compilation textbook Remote Sensing and Digital Image Processing, and more than 30 journals. I also possess 4 Invention Patents and 12 Software Copyrights. My academic honors include the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Awards by the Ministry of Land and Resources, the Third Prize of Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Award,  as well as the Second Prize and Third Prize respectively of Science and Technology Progress Award by the China Water Conservation Society, etc.
