Dr Jianjun CHEN received his Ph.D. degree in computer science (2006) from Zhejiang University, China. He has been working at Zhejiang University since 2006 and is currently a full professor at School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He was invited to visit Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore in 2010. Under the joint support from China Scholarship Council and Zhejiang University, he conducted a visiting research for two years (2012~2014) in Swansea University, UK. His research has spanned mesh generation, computational mechanics, and parallel computing. He has authored one book and over 50 peer-reviewed academic papers. He was awarded a Zhejiang Provincial Nature Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, by Zhejiang Provincial Nature Science Foundation of China in 2015, and the ICACM Young Investigator Award by International Chinese Association for Computational Mechanics (ICACM) in 2016.
