Dr. Jiakun Wang is a professor of ruminant nutrition at Zhejiang University. She earned her Doctoral degree in Zhejiang University in Mar. 2006. She was promoted to associate professor in 2009 and to professor in 2016. she spent two years to do collaborative research with Prof. Dr. C. S. McSweeney in CSIRO Livestock Industries in Australia from 2010 to 2011, supported by the “Newrising Star Program” from Zhejiang University and CSC scholarship. Awarded the Distinguished Young Scholar by Zhejiang University in 2012. Her recent research interests include rumen metabolism and fermentation, utilization of feed resources with special reference crop residues. The main work is application of directional regulation of fermentation, molecular ecology, metagenomics and proteomics techniques to improve the fiber degradation and reduce the methane production.
