Professor Liu Xinggao, a "Qiushi" distinguished professor, doctoral supervisor, and doctoral supervisor at Zhejiang University, is the head of the Advanced Artificial Intelligence and Control Optimization Laboratory, the Executive Deputy Director of the Control Equipment and Comprehensive Safety Research Institute, and a renowned expert in artificial intelligence, optimization control, and smart manufacturing. Prof. Liu has been engaged in long-term research on complex system modeling, optimization control, and artificial intelligence big data, published 5 academic monographs, published more than 150 SCI papers, selected as ESI Global Highly Cited Papers (i.e. Global Highly Cited Scientists), ESI Global Hotspot Papers, and authorized over 200 inventions for implementation and application by leading international multinational companies in the US industry. Prof. Liu is a PhD from Zhejiang University (Department of Control), a postdoctoral fellow from Tsinghua University (Department of Automation), a visiting scholar at Newcastle University in the UK (Artificial Intelligence, ranked among the top three internationally), a member of IEEE, IET and other societies, and a introduced talent from Zhejiang University. Prof. Liu has won the first/second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the special prize of the Chinese Society of Automation, the first/second prize of Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award, the Zhejiang Outstanding Youth Fund, the first prize of Sinopec Science and Technology Progress Award/the first prize of project engineering management and other awards, as well as the winners of AI big data awards such as the champion of the global campus AI algorithm elite contest, the champion of the national Tianchi Baijiu quality inspection challenge, the champion of the national iCartoonFace challenge, the runner up of the first national artificial intelligence contest pedestrian recognition challenge, and the runner up of the first national artificial intelligence contest target recognition challenge. Prof. Liu has successively presided over and completed more than 30 national and international key projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, National Key R&D Program, National 863 Program, National Development and Reform Commission's Major Special Project for Industrial Automation High tech Industrialization, Zhejiang Province Outstanding Youth Science Fund, International Cooperation of Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and International Cooperation of National Engineering and Natural Science Foundation of the United Kingdom; Prof. Liu is invited judges and editorial board members of internationally renowned SCI journals such as the top three journals in the fields of control and artificial intelligence, as well as members of multiple international academic associations. Prof LIU focuses on combining foresight theoretical research with industrial practical applications, involving process system principle and statistical modeling, advanced control, soft sensor, data fusion, fault diagnosis, optimization algorithms, system identification and dynamic optimization, big data and artificial intelligence, deep learning and image processing, target monitoring and trajectory optimization, etc. Among them, artificial intelligence and big data research involves large model, robot vision, biological intelligent manufacturing, coal mining, clothing process, radiation monitoring, intelligent gaming and management&control, digital twins, defect detection, intelligent medical care, intelligent finance, intelligent aerospace, intelligent ocean, cyberspace security, engineering management, etc. On the one hand, he is the instructor of Zhejiang University Fintech and other clubs. Within the group, there is a deep accumulation in areas such as image processing, object recognition, metric learning, trajectory optimization (core of autonomous driving), network security, ReID, NLP, etc., while also having expertise in reinforcement learning Meta Learning、GNN、large models; Members of the group have received widespread recognition and high praise for their internships and work at top AI companies such as Huawei, ZTE, Damo Academy (Alibaba), Megvii, New Retail (Alibaba), Hikvision, Cainiao (Alibaba), SenseTime, and Zhijiang Laboratory, and the group has collaborated on projects with the above companies.
