Zuozhu received his PhD degree from Singapore University of Technology and Design in 2019 (supervisors: Prof. Tony Q.S. Quek, Prof. Shaowei LIN), and B.Eng from Zhejiang University, College of Information Science and Electrical Engineering. During his undergraduate and PhD studies, he visited and worked at the University of Notre Dame, the AIP Center at RIKEN in Japan (with Dr. Emtiyaz Khan), and the AI unicorn Preferred Networks Inc in Tokyo, etc. 

Dr. Zuozhu Liu's primary research focuses on multimodal medical data processing, multimodal vision-language models, trustworthy machine learning, and bioinformatics. His related research has been published in top-tier journals and conferences, including Patterns, NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, AAAI, EMNLP, MIA/IEEE TMI/TCOMM/JSTSP/JDR, and MICCAI etc. He has also passed Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

In 2020/2023, Zuozhu established the Zhejiang Univeristy-Angelalign Inc. R&D center for Intelligent Healthcare, focused on deep learning, digitial dentistry and diagnosis.
