Dr. Xiaoye Miao is a tenured Associate Professor and ZJU 100 Young Professor at the Center for Data Science, Zhejiang University (ZJU). She has been awarded the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars (2020) and the ACM SIGMOD China Rising Star Award (2023).
She is CCF Senior Member, CCF Database Technical Committee Member and CCF Service Computing Technical Committee Member. She received the PhD degree in Computer Science and Technology from Zhejiang University. Prior to joining ZJU in 2018, she was a research assistant in University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, and then a postdoctoral fellow in City University of Hong Kong (CityU), respectively.
Her research focuses on intelligent data governance and service, including data imputation and cleansing, data valuation and service pricing, AI-driven drug development, AI-driven database optimization, incomplete and uncertain databaes, etc. She has published over 50 papers on top/important academic journals and conferences, such as VLDBJ (CCF A), TKDE (CCF A), TMC (CCF A), BIB (top journal in bioinformatics), JCIM (top journal in medicinal chemistry), VLDB (CCF A), SIGMOD (CCF A), AAAI (CCF A), ICDE (CCF A), WINE (CCF A). She has been authorized/accepted 3 American/PCT international patents and 17 national invention patents. She has published one English academic monograph (Morgan & Claypool Publisher) and one Chinese textbook “Introduction to Frontiers of Data Science” (Higher Education Press ).
She also won the first prize of the Wu Wenjun AI Science & Technology Award of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. She was/is serving as a reviewer or PC member for several top/important journals such as VLDBJ, TKDE, TKDD, TSC, Briefings in Bioinformatics, Information Sciences, WWWJ, DSE, and a committee member/reviewer for top/important conferences such as VLDB 2025, KDD 2024, WWW 2024, ICDE 2023-24, AAAI 2021-22, WISE 2019-23, and NDBC 2021-23. She has undertaken several projects including the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, the General Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Youth Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the sub-project of National Key R&D Program of China, the Youth Scientist Project of National Key R&D Program of China, and the “Pioneer” and “Leading Goose” R&D Programs of Zhejiang, etc.
