As professor and Ph.D. supervisor of college of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, Professor Jiang also holds position as Director of Academic Affairs Office of Graduate School, Zhejiang University and Deputy Director of Zhejiang Key Laboratory (marine renewable energy electrical equipment and systematical technology research laboratory). As committee member of professional committee of power system control and protection of China electrical technology association, Professor Jiang has been selected as the most advanced talent of "New Century Excellent Talent Supporting Program" by the Ministry of Education as well as “Zhejiang Outstanding Youth Foundation” and “151 Talents Project of Zhejiang province".

With long-term engagement in technology application research fields of stability and control in electrical power systems, AI (artificial intelligence) and high-performance computing in electrical systems as well as new energy grid connection and storage, his research results have won once Second Prize of National Natural Science Award (ranking fifth), twice First Prize science and technology award of the ministry of education (both ranking fourth) and once First Class of scientific research achievement award of higher institution of Zhejiang Province (ranking first).

He has published more than 150 academic papers, of which more than 50 articles were retrieved by SCI, 90 papers by EI. 25 Journal papers of IEEE Transactions were published by Professor Jiang as the primary author or corresponding author.
