Dr. Shiyang Xiao graduated from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. Prior to that, Dr. Xiao received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Philosophy at Peking University and the School of Public Administration at Tsinghua University, respectively. She is currently a researcher of the Hundred Talents Program at School of Public Affairs. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Public Budgeting & Finance, and Socius: Sociological Research for a Dynamic World. She also serves as an anonymous reviewer for journals including Public Administration Review, Governance, Government Information Quarterly, and Policy Studies Journal. Methodologically, Dr. Shiyang Xiao is committed to exploring the application of big data and computational text analysis methods to the exploration of basic theories in public administration, and has been invited as a speaker to participate in the Summer Research Methodology Workshop on Public Administration jointly organized by CAAPA, Zhejiang University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, as well as Tsinghua University's Quantitative Club Methodology Seminar Series.
