Dr. Wenguan Wang is a ZJU100 Young Professor at Zhejiang University, China, and the recipient of National Outstanding Youth Program (Overseas). From 2022-2023, he was a Lecturer (also known as Assistant Professor) and DECRA Fellow at University of Technology Sydney, Australia. From 2020-2022, he was a Research Fellow at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. From 2018-2019, he was a Senior Scientist at Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence, UAE. He received his Ph.D. degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2018, and was a Research Assistant (visiting Ph.D) at The University of California, Los Angeles, USA from 2016-2018. His research interests span Machine Perception, Human-Centered AI, Embodied AI, and AI for Science. He has published over 100 papers in prestigious journals and conferences such as TPAMI,mIJCV, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, AAAI, and Siggraph Asia, including one CVPR Best Paper Finalist, one CVPR workshop Best Paper, 20 top-conference Highlight/Spotlight/Oral papers, 14 ESI Highly Cited Papers, and 70 first-/corresponding-author papers. He has more than 19,000 citations on Google Scholar with an H-index of 73. He is the recipient of ACM China Raising Star (2023), Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers (2023, 2024), Australian Research Council (ARC) – Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) (2021), Top 2% Scientists Worldwide by Stanford University (2022, 2023, 2024), Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Researchers (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023), World Artificial Intelligence Conference Youth Outstanding Paper Award (2020), China Association of Artificial Intelligence Doctoral Dissertation Award (2019), ACM China Doctoral Dissertation Award (2018), and Baidu Scholarship (2016).
