Associated Professor in Department of Epidemiology and Health Statistics, Zhejiang University. During 2011-2013, Dr. Wang joined the Nutritional Epidemiology Branch in NCI/NIH as a postdoctoral fellow. He received his M.P.H in Epidemiology from the Harbin Medical University in 2007 and a Ph.D. in Cancer Epidemiology from Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) in 2010. When studied in PUMC, He worked with his mentor (Prof. Qiao, Cancer Institute, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences(CICAMS)) on several NCI-CICAMS collaborative projects, including the follow-up of participants in the Dysplasia and General Population Nutrition Intervention Trials in Linxian, China. Since October 2013, Dr. Wang joined Zhejiang University, and has been working on the project about air pollution and population health in Prof. Kun Chen’s group, including: Effects of air pollution on hospital visits for pneumonia in children; Association between short-term exposure to ambient air pollution and daily mortality; Air pollution and hospital visits for acute upper and lower respiratory infections among children in Ningbo, China; National scale spatiotemporal land-use regression model for PM2.5, PM10 and NO2 concentration in China.
