Mingjun Xia, recieved both B.A. degree and MSc. degree from School of Control Science and Engineering, Shandong University, China, and the PhD degree from School of Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Birmingham, UK.

In 2016, he worked as a Research Fellow in the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds, UK, where he joined in  European Commission funded Horizon 2020 Project-ULTRAQCL.  He was a visiting researcher in the Optoelectronic Group, School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, UK from Jun. 2015 to Nov. 2015, and a visiting researcher at the University of Regensburg in Jan. 2017 and Jun. 2017. 

Now, he is an associate professor in the College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University.
