Dr. Zuguang Ying is a professor of Zhejiang University. He received the BS, MS and PhD degrees from Zhejiang Universityin in 1984, 1987 and 1995, respectively. He visited the Hong Kong Polytechnic University many times in past years. His research interests include the nonlinear random vibration and control of structural systems, smart material dynamics and computation method. He has co-authored more than 130 papers published in English and Chinese. As one of important members, he won the Second National Natural Science Prize of China in 2002 and the First Science and Technology Prize of Education Ministry of China in 2001. He has lectured on theoretical mechanics, mechanics of materials, analytical and advanced dynamics, elastodynamics, etc. over 15 years.
