Dr. Yuxin PENG received his B.E. and M.E. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Chongqing University in 2007 and 2010, respectively, and later obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Nanomechanics at Tohoku University in Japan in 2013. He served as a Research Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Singapore from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, he joined Zhejiang University as a ZJU 100 Young Professor and was awarded tenure in 2022. He currently serves as the Director of the Institute of Exercise Science and Health Engineering at Zhejiang University. He received accolades from talent programs such as Qianjiang Talent in Zhejiang Province and Zhijiang Youth Scholars in Zhejiang Province. His research interests include smart sensors, robotics, and biomechanics. In recent years, he has led numerous scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Foundation, and sub-projects under the National Key Research and Development Program. He has also received funding from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the International Institute for Higher Education at Tohoku University in Japan. He has published over 50 SCI papers, including multiple high-impact articles as the first author or corresponding author in journals such as Science Advances (IF: 14.1), Small (IF: 13), Journal of Manufacturing Systems (IF: 12.1), IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics (IF: 7.5), and IEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering (IF: 4.8). Additionally, he holds more than 30 authorized patents. He is a member of the Professional Committee on Intelligent Wearable Technology and the Professional Committee on Sports Artificial Intelligence under the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. He also serves as a young editor for journals such as Soft Science, International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials, and Sports Medicine and Health Science.
