Prof. Yuxi ZHAO is Qiushi Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University, China. She was awarded her Ph.D in Structural engineering at Zhejiang University in 2001. Since then she has been employed at Zhejiang University, where she was a lecturer, associate professor before becoming a professor in 2008. She worked in Imperial College London as an academic visitor from 2006 till 2008. Her research interests focus on the long-term performance of concrete structures and the resource utilization of construction solid waste. She has cooperated with Northwestern University, Imperial College, University of Leeds, University of Stuttgart, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has awarded more than 20 research grants from Chinese government, published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings (H-index 36), co-authored 4 books and co-edited 3 conference proceedings. She has won the National Award for Science and Technology Progress in 2008. She is the associate editors of Elsevier journals Case studies in construction materials and Cleaner Materials, member of 2 technical committees within RILEM. She has been listed in Elsevier's "China's Highly Cited Scholars" list and Stanford University's list of the world's top 2% scientists since 2021.
