Dr Angelica Foggetti completed both BSc in Biological Sciences and MSc in Neurobiology at the University of Turin (Italy), where she worked in the laboratory of Prof. Isabelle Perroteau. During this time her project concerned dorsal root ganglia and peripheral nerve regeneration and her supervisors were Prof. Michele Fornaro and Dr Alessia Giovannelli. Dr Foggetti pursued her career as neuroscientist at the University of Aberdeen (UK), where she worked at several DPhil projects in the lab of Prof. Peer Wulff. The main common aim was to investigate anatomical and functional aspects of hippocampus interneurons. She earned her PhD in Medical Sciences in 2015 and joined the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel (Germany) as postdoctoral researcher, where she led projects focused on structural plasticity and characterization of cells whose networks are involved in memory formation.
In 2023 Dr Foggetti opened her lab at ZJU-UoE where she currently works as Assistant Professor.
