Doctor  of Engineering, Professor of College of Pharmaceutical Sciences,Zhejiang University.  Doctoral Supervisor, Deputy Director of the Institute of Pharmaceutical  Preparations. In  1991, he graduated from the Department of Food Science and Technology  of Zhejiang Agricultural University. In 1999 and 2002, he obtained a  master's degree and a doctorate from Tokyo University of Agriculture and  Technology, respectively. From 2002 to March 2005, he was a special  researcher at the Japan Institute of Industrial Technology. In  April 2005, he served as an associate professor at the Institute of  Pharmaceutical Preparations, College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Zhejiang University.Promoted to professor in December 2010. Selected for Funding for the Second-Level Training of Talents in the New Century in Zhejiang Province. Member of the Nano Toxicology Committee of the Zhejiang Toxicology Society.

Mainly engaged in drug new dosage forms, new formulations and nano-targeted drug delivery systems. As  the project leader, he has undertaken more than ten projects, including  the National 863 Science and Technology Plan, the National Natural  Science Foundation, the Natural Science Fund Key  Project of Zhejiang Province and some projects cooperating with enterprises. The  research results have been included in Nature Communications, Nano Letters, Angew. Chem. Int. Edit., ACS Nano, Biomaterials, Theranostics, J Control Rel, ACS Appl. Mat.. where he has published more than 200 research academic papers. He has btained 1  US invention patent license, 8 Japanese patents, and 26 Chinese  invention patents; the research results won the first prize, second  prize and third prize of Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award, and the second prize of the Natural Science of the Ministry of Education.
