Education background:
September 2000-July 2004: Bachelor in Optical Information Engineering, Zhejiang University
August 2004-June 2009: Ph.D. in Optical Engineering, Zhejiang University
July 2009-June 2011: Postdoctor in Instrument Science and Technology Postdoctoral Station in Zhejiang University
Personal profile:
Experts in fiber optic sensing. Born in 1981 in Jieyang, Guangdong Province. In 2004, Dr.Chen graduated from Zhejiang University with a B.S. degree majoring in optical information engineering. In 2009, he received Ph.D. degree of optical engineering from Zhejiang University. He is currently an associate researcher at College of Optical Science and Engineering and Institute of Advanced Technology of Zhejiang University.
He mainly engaged in research of fiber optic sensing theory and technology. He first proposed the theory and technology of large dynamic fiber optic gyroscope, and completed a series of research work from theoretical framework establishment, technical realization to product application, and it was successfully applied to large-scale experiments for many times. At the same time, to solve the noise problem of high-precision fiber optical sensor, he completed the construction of the noise model of fiber optic sensor for the first time, and improved effective technical means such as noise separation, optimal modulation and demodulation strategy, light intensity noise compensation, etc.It effectively improved the performance indicators of the sensor, and ranked the highest in the 12th five-year national field evaluation of China. In 2009, he proposed the theory of optical quantum compression optical sensors, and applied quantum technology to the field of traditional optical interference measurement, which is expected to break the quantum limit of existing optical sensors and receive a leaping precision indicator transformation.
