Professor Guo Jiqiang received a master's degree in economics from Zhejiang University in 1988 and a doctorate in economics from Zhejiang University in 2005. After graduating from the master's degree, he served as a teaching assistant (1988-1990), lecturer (1990-1995), associate professor (1995-2005), and associate professor of the School of Public Administration from 2005 to 2007. Professor Ren Zheng in 2007, since 2013 Associate Dean of School of Public Administration, Zhejiang University. Professor Guo Jiqiang was supported by the Hans Seidel Foundation from June 1998 to December 1998 and went to the Institute of World Economics in Kiel, Germany for further studies. From April to December 2006, he went to the China Center for Economic Research of Peking University for further studies.

     Professor Guo Jiqiang is currently the deputy director and secretary general of the Labor Security and Social Policy Research Center of Zhejiang University, the director of the Risk Management and Labor Security Institute of Zhejiang University, and the deputy head of the Department of Social Security and Risk Management of the School of Public Administration of Zhejiang University. Research direction: labor economics, public economics, modern enterprise theory. The research scope mainly includes: income distribution, labor supply, employment discrimination, and wage differential decomposition.

     He has presided over several major projects of the National Social Science Fund, the National Social Science Fund Key Project, the National Social Science Fund General Project, and the China Economic Reform Research Foundation Open Bidding Project; as one of the main members, participated in the National Natural Science Foundation Key Bidding Project Research and research on major topics in philosophy and social science research of the Ministry of Education. In "Chinese Social Science", "Chinese Social Science" (English Edition), "Economics (Quarterly)", "Sociology Research", "Chinese Social Science Digest", "China Rural Economy", "Academic Monthly", " There are many papers published in the journals such as Economist, Social Science Front, and China Labor Economics. The monograph "Wage, Employment and Labor Supply" was selected into the academic literature of Zhejiang University. The research results have won the second and third prizes at the provincial and ministerial levels.
