     Xu Xinfen is the Master & Doctor Supervisor, the Nursing director of Women Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, the chief member of Zhejiang Nursing Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology Professional Committee, the vice chairman of the Professional Committee of Chinese Nursing Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the member of the Health Care Quality Control Center of Zhejiang Province and the deputy editor of domestic core journals “Nursing and Rehabilitation”. 

     Her research program which is grounded in over twenty years of clinical practice is in the area of midwifery, labor analgesia in labor management, psychological care of patients with obstetric and gynecological diseases and health education research. She had been several times to go to the exchange of Hong Kong, Canada, Singapore, the U.S. short-term training and study. And her articles are published in the “Asia Pacific Journal of Public Health” and “Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology”. She also has strong organizational and coordinational abilities, fully grasp the knowledge and research techniques of midwifery, obstetric care, and postpartum psychological care. She has published more than 60 papers, edited 11 books and 3 SCI papers in the past three years as the first author or corresponding author. She has been engaged in obstetrics and gynecology clinical care, teaching and research work. With solid foundation for nursing theory, she has a wealth of clinical nursing experience. In addition, she participates in a variety of nursing teaching, having a wealth of teaching experience, especially in the teaching of obstetrics and gynecology field. As a registered nurse (RN), a midwife, a researcher and an educator, she has worked in various capacities within the maternal-infant health care system. Her research projects have been funded by national, provincial and local agencies and these projects are guided by the tenets of qualitative research and participatory action research.
